Hi i just bought a new RTX 3060 Ti. So now I'm wondering if there would be any benefit to combine it with my old 1060 6gb so it would become a dual GPU setup. I only play games, so would there be any performance gain from doing this?
I would also recommend keeping your old card. I have come to the point of always wanting to have a secondary gaming GPU on hand just in case. RMAs typically take weeks.SLI was deprecated and doesn't exist anymore. Use the 3060Ti and store away the 1060 for if the 3060Ti breaks. You won't gain anything having it in your system.
No benefit in games as they cannot be used together. It would only be beneficial if you wanted to run productivity workloads that benefit from the 1060 while gaming but it sounds like you have no intention of doing that.Hi i just bought a new RTX 3060 Ti.
