would it Bottleneck?

Hey so recently i posted if a ryzen 1600 would bottleneck my GTX 960 but i was looking and saw that the Ryzen 5 2600 is 1) cheaper 2)better So would it be worth upgrading my APU 7700K 2014 to a ryzen 5 1600 than a 2600? or the other way round and would the 2600 bottleneck my GTX 960?

Ether CPU would be more than enough for your GTX 960. The Ryzen 5 2600 would require a B450 (or X470; AMD 400 series) motherboard to ensure compatibility out of the box.

Recommend 2 x 8GB in dual channel for such a setup.

Also, for 'bottleneck', read 'gets the most from it'. No system is perfectly in tune. Might as well get the most from the gfx card.

Ryzen performs about 12% better when the ram runs in dual channel so get a 2x4gb kit.
The 1600 or 2600 will not bottleneck your gtx 960.
