Would it still be fine to use old gen processors for basic office use?

Solution
We've been using locked Sandy Bridge processors in our office for years. We used to upgrade regularly but the incremental speed bumps after Sandy Bridge weren't enough to justify upgrading beyond that. They can handle basic office tasks such as word processing, spreadsheets and accounting software as good as current gen. Basically, until a motherboard fails we don't get a new PC.
