this is the first time I have built a pc, and am going to be jumping straight in. I will be using the pc for gaming, light over clocking, which I have not done before, and photo editing. I will be using software from adobe.
I have selected the motherboard I that is listed for its colours and its looks, over performance, not that the performance and included features are any less important. I am not willing to change my case selection, as I had previously listed the NZXT Phantom 410, but found that the H440 would be smaller and would look better for my room. plus would offer better cable management, and produce a quieter pc, always a bonus. I am getting an external fan controller as case has no drive bays and I do not want to use the motherboard and software to control fans, prefer physical interaction with the fans personally. finally, I am getting the retail edition of the operating system, opposed to an OEM edition, so that I am not so restricted.
