If anyone can help me take a look and share their thoughts on where i can save some $$. As i was looking for a budget of around $1200.
I wouldn't want to scrimp on the Motherboard, CPU and Graphics Card. As I'm hoping for it to last awhile. But i wouldn't mind slowly upgrading the other parts when i get the cash.
I'm also looking for a 23" Monitor. If anyone knows a good and cheap one i can get in Singapore.
PS: Use the PC for mostly games and doing of work. Virtual machines, Programming, scripting and such.

Paying too much for your RAM, I would change the SSD, keep the case if you dont like the one i post
You can drop the PSU if your not going to SLI/CF to a ~550W push the GPU up to a 7970

Looks good but I would go with a 7950 also but keep Sapphire as the manufacture. From what I have found in my own systems Sapphire makes the best GPU's with AMD/ATI chips. I would go for the Sapphire Flex HD 7950 it is $329 at NewEgg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202007 .

I will be going with the build you gave. But i have some questions.
Would dropping to a 7950 reduce game performance in any significant way?
And does all the component that you have listed fit into the sharkoon t28 case?
Do you think i should invest in a 3770k?
Or should i OC the 3570k?

if you can reach the 7970 by all means go for it! I was trying to stick as close to your budget as possible by all means get the 7970!

Do not get the i7 CPU for a pure gaming rig, the HyperThreading tech does not assist our needs and the difference between the 3570K and the 3770K is not worth the $100 difference.

OC the 3570K and love it!

If your case is a Mid Tower everything should fit smoothly

Dont forget an extra $100 for the OS which brings ur build to $1260
There is nothing wrong with the Sharkoon its a decent case and thats his own personnal flare to his rig
