Would like recommendations for a glossy 23/24-inch 1920x1080 60Hz IPS monitor for gaming

I'm getting a new gaming desktop (with a GTX 970) and I need a new monitor to match. I'm looking to buy a 23 or 24-inch 1920x1080 60Hz IPS monitor, and I'd really like it to be glossy (I'm not a fan of anti-glare coatings). I'm having trouble finding a decent one in my budget of around £120-150 (could perhaps do a bit more if it's a really good display), could anyone recommend anything?

Both just over your price range - the dell is full glossy ,the Asus is semi.

I don't know why ypud want a gloss screen personally but they're your options pretty much.

You make no mention of the type of gaming you enjoy. If you're into FPS, then IPS monitors may not be the most appropriate technology as their response times tend to be around 5ms at best with the lower priced examples running to 6ms or 7ms. Ideally, in FPS gaming, you need fast response times and fast refresh rates if you're a serious gamer and this level of performance tends to be better suited by TN panel technology - particularly the "speedy" examples that offer response times down to 1ms and refresh rates up to 144Hz.

If, on the other hand, gaming is not primary usage and your other application areas include photo editing and others that benefit from more natural colour presentation, wider viewing angles, etc. then, by all means, opt for IPS.

PS: the earlier poster's comments re glossy monitors are valid - they may look impressive at first glance, but after protracted usage, can become uncomfortable to use in longer sessions - eye-strain from reflected glare takes its toll.

But, as the saying goes, the decision is yours to live with...

I personally love the glossy screens, for gaming as well. I primarily play C.O.D. and I play A LOT
I have logged about 50 days on Ghosts. I use an HP 2210m but any of the HP's glossy stuff are nice,
especially with "Brightview" technology. I believe it has a 1.5ms response, which would explain why it works great for gaming.

I purchased a HP 25VX yesterday for $149 and the setup looks awesome, I can't wait to try it out with gaming.
I don't think it's a "Brightview" model but it is glossy, with a decent response time (5ms). So far, it seems pretty
awesome, especially for the money.
