Would like some help choosing a monitor.

I've been looking to upgrade my monitor lately, right now I'm using an old freebie 17" Dell business monitor.
I have some monitors I've been looking at and was wondering which would be the better buy. The monitor will be used mainly for Gaming, browsing, and school.

-Decent picture quality
-HDMI or DVI

The second one looks good, good contrast ratio, basically everything else, but a good contrast ratio.
