? I have an i7 3770 as well, and my 840pro runs just fine. ~525MB read and write. As long as you use your native SATA ports he'd be fine.

I wouldn't worry about power too much. You are adding ~15W to the system. The SSD is a 2.5" drive so the comment about the computer case does apply. If your case doesn't have a spot for a 2.5" drive you'll need an adapter plate to make it fit in a 3.5" bay.
you can put them in although you'll probably only get 300 mb/s instead of 500 mb/s for ssd speed because the sata ports are slower on 1155 mobos.

also it's not the component that limit availability of space/compatibility with storage devices but your computer case. what computer case do yo uhave?
