Question would like to run a thermaltake 1200w in my editing rig, but I get no video

I have a Thermaltake 1200W power source that i was mining with , lost interest in that and tried to throw it in my editing unit, It should work right? It was online for mining for only a short time, but I get no image on the monitor though I am hooked up, I am certainly doing something wrong.
