Approximate Purchase Date: between now and the new year

Budget Range: ~$500

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, browsing the internet

Parts to Upgrade: GPU, Memory, SSD, (other parts if needed)

Additional Comments: any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I have occasionally had blue/black screens of death, freezing, straight power off. I don’t have them frequently anymore I believe I fixed most of the issues with that. Primarily want the upgrade to run ARK: Survival Evolved better, it’s an alpha game on steam not that optimized yet. I also would like to upgrade my parts so i can give my old ones to a friend which would be an upgrade for him.

Few words.

Added two sets of 2x 4GB DDR3 RAM that you can run at speeds up to 2133 Mhz. Total is 16GB that is well enough for today's games.

Put in a good performing SSD for your OS drive. 250GB should be more than enough.

And lastly, went with a MSI GTX 1060 6GB for it's superb cooling and silent operation under 60 degrees Celsius (Zero Frozr). With this GPU, you can run today's games in high/ultra settings @ 1080p.
Note: Without knowing your case, i can't tell if the GPU fits inside your case or not.
