[SOLVED] Would moving cable from sata 3 slot to sata 4 make hdd go faster?

No. You are thinking that the 3 or 4 is a version of SATA. It is not. It is just the number of the port. SATA1 , SATA2, SATA3, SATA4 could just as well be a, b, c, d. Whatever version the motherboard supports, they will all be the same. It makes no sense to support different versions on the same motherboard.

Some older boards did.
4x SATA II and 2x SATA III.

Not anything recent, though.
