Hi
I have a Poweredge R710 with onboard 4port ethernet; It also came with a 4port pcie ethernet card. If I installed this in another pc would I get increased throughput between the 2 ?
Thanks

Solution
Not an answer per se - I think more information is needed because multiple factors affect throughput.

R710 specs:

The physical connectivity that you have in mind being the following line diagram:

PowerEdge R710 [Onboard LAN port] ---Ethernet cable --> [Router] ---Ethernet cable -->[LAN port on 4 port PCIe] Host pc.

Edit/correct the line diagram as necessary.

Other network devices?

Add some details about how the system is currently configured and networked plus what changes (if any) you expect to make.
