Motherboard make and model. Case make and model?

You must look at the applicable specifications with respect to height, width, and depth.

In addition, you must look for the clearance requirements: e.g., the surrounding area requirements for air flow and so forth.

Go to the manufacturer's websites and find the applicable installation manuals starting with the GTX 1660.

Read the specs, installation instructions, and the fine print.

5mm clearance is not much.

Clearance is clearance. If the case manufacturer says 285mm, that's what you can use. Actually in my experience, the case clearances are generally conservative. So you might actually have more room than that.

On second hand, you have the case. measure for yourself. The GPU length is overall, from the end of the PCI mounting bracket tab.

the motherboard is : Intel DX79SR ATX LGA2011 Motherboard
and the case is: LIAN LI PC-8FI
width, and depth are fine..the point is that i was worried if the length would be higher..i've measured the distance for the GPU in my case and i found that it is 295mm(clearance)i think that would be fine?..other things should be fine but..about the airflow..how can i know that it is alright and wont cause any trouble??
