Question Would my PC run better if the model of my GPU matches the model of my CPU?

Kind of a weird question but hear me out.
I'm thinking of upgrading my toaster computer to play games a little better.
But I have a processor with integrated graphics. It's a AMD Athlon 5150 APU, with integrated graphics. The brand of the integrated graphics is AMD Radeon HD 8400 / R3 series

Now while searching for compatible graphic cards with my motherboard, one of them is an AMD Radeon HD 8400-R3, basically, the same model/brand as the one in my processor.
I assume a dedicated graphic card is always better, but my question is, would it be significantly better if I use that model with it?
I tried using the PC benchmark site to compare but it won't let me compare my CPU against the GPU. My intuition tells me since they're the same model it wouldn't make much of a difference, and I really can't afford to just try it out.

Here's a screenshot of my devices so you know what I mean

Sorry for the spanish but it should be clear enough. I don't have a GPU, just a processor.

So how can I compare my CPU with a dedicated GPU?

To answer the question, no, using the same model integrated GPU and GPU will not make your performance any better than using "un-matched" components. Using a dedicated GPU will almost always be better than the integrated GPU.

In your case with your very old system, almost anything will be better.

There is no dedicated version of that GPU you're referring to. It looks like it only existed in laptops or the APU like you have so it isn't really an option.

I'm not sure how good of an experience you would have adding a video card to your existing system no matter what. It's quite old and slow, but even more important than that is it only has 4 lanes of PCIe 2.0 available which would pretty severely limit the performance of any remotely modern video card. It doesn't look like there's any upgrade path using the platform you have so you'd need to look at an entirely new system.

Yeah it's a toaster, bought it in 2016 with my first salary lol
It ran grand theft V just fine and still runs league good enough. Recently tried fortnait and it barely runs it on the lowest settings, and with voice chat is unplayable.
My goal is not to run the heaviest games out there, just a boost to run these games like LoL and fornait without having a meltdown at the frame rates. Is your veredict this build just can't be used these days and should just update the whole thing?
(spelled the games poorly because the forum thinks I'm trying to spam or something)

It does appear as a GPU at userbenchmark
But if it's just a missunderstanding from the site I guess my intuition was correct lol

I mean, it *is* a GPU, just an integrated one. Userbenchmark includes benchmarks for those.

In any case, I think money put into this PC would be a waste. This is a system-on-a-chip platform, meaning it's designed for very basic functionality. You may be able to stuff in another GPU, but the CPU is as much a problem. Simply put, this is basically a 2013 PC with the target market of people who needed to surf the web and check their email. The CPU is basically comparable to mainstream CPUs used in the 2006-2010 years and there's nothing worthwhile to upgrade *to*.

Yeah there are just too many drawbacks to your existing system that you can't really overcome. You really need to look at a replacement for everything.
