I tried 4K but couldn't run a lot of games, so how about 2K ?

My specs are:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor 3.59 GHz
GPU: rtx 2060
Installed RAM: 16.0 GB

I'm asking if I can run it, could I run elden ring and cyberunk at 2k 60fps with this setup? I don't care about super high frame rates because I've never owned a monitor that goes past 60 anyway
30-40 FPS on Cyberpunk @ 2k High settings

50 FPS on Elden Ring @ 2k Max settings

Your card is adequate, but do not expect to be running everything at maximum or high. I would stick to medium and I'm sure you'll be very happy.

should I get a 2k and play at medium or a 1080 and run at high-ultra? What would look better?
What size monitor do you want and what is your price range? 1080p will not look good on a monitor bigger than 24 inches, whereas 1440p monitors look great even in ultrawide. They also tend to have higher refresh rates. That all comes at increased cost though.

Personally, I have a 1080 Founders Edition, which is a 7, almost 8 year old card, and I play on a 4k monitor. I am able to run all games at medium on 4k at 60 FPS. For me, the biggest difference is between low and medium. The difference between medium and high is small, and high and ultra is unnoticeable (to me).

If you give me size and price range, I'll give you a recommendation on what I'd personally buy.

I sit right by my monitor so 24 inches for 1080p and whatever the optimal size is for 1440p. My price range is £200 and below.

alright I think I'm going to get a 2k, what makes the monitor you linked better than this cheaper one? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CHJ8N9MJ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
Chinese junk. Lots of reviews saying the monitor came dead or died soon after. Stick to reliable and well known brands. Not to mention its not IPS, meaning the viewing angles and color accuracy is terrible. You will end up wasting money in the long term replacing a cheap 150 pound monitor once every year or two rather than a 215 pound quality monitor once every ten. I would personally rather throw my money into a fire pit than buy that monitor but it is up to you.
