Hello everyone,

GPU: BFG GTX 280 Stock speeds
PSU: Corsair 750w

I got a dvd writer plugged in and two hard drives and a sound card.

I'm planning on buying a Noctua se1366 for the i7 to overclock around 3.8 if possible or less I think 3.6 or so is reasonable.

So would my Power supply handle it? Do I need a 1k wat psu?

Thanks to whoever helps me out

phewww thanks, I'm asking this because whenever I play Masseffect during gameplay rarely I hear this high pitch sound I think its the video card, I'm used to it now caus it's not that loud, I thought that my PSU was not enough that's why it made that sound.

But it seems that it's normal with these high end video cards

Foolycooly, I got this 8 pin on top of the cpu where I need to plug into my motherboard, is there an extension I can get to make my Noctua fit properly without any wires in the way?

Here is my pc

Yeah dude with a gtx280 and i7 OCed, a 750 it more than enough. Especially the newer PSU's they are WAY WAY more efficient than the older ones. They put more juice on the 12v rails so no one REALLY needs the 1000W PSU unless you are runing 3 cards. You could probably run a 2nd 280 if you wanted to and had enough pci-e connections.

I have the same issue with the 8 pin connector, it barely fits around my cooler and is the only NON cable managed cable I have. I'll eventually get an extention, but I dont have a windowed case so you never see it anyways and it doesnt obstruct the airflow.
