Question Would my system be alright for 144hz gaming in future?

I am thinking of getting a Vega 56, but with my current hardware I'm not sure if a new PC would be better? Or just stick with what I have now?

I think my GPU is the only issue here perhaps, it works great for 1080p 60fps, I usually stick to capping my games at 60 just because i have a 60 hertz monitor (will be getting a 144hz monitor too). Unlocked FPS in games like Battlefield 5 however I would have to knock down settings to a mixture of medium-ultra.

Specs:
16GB DDR3 Ram
I7-4790K CPU
Nvidia GTX 1060
CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 13 (was thinking of switching to a liquid cooler in near future).

Also im open to suggestions on 144hz 1080p cheapish monitors.
