This is my first gaming pc build. I would like to get the best build for the money.

Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz
ASRock H97M PRO4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX
Cooler Master N200 MicroATX
EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit)

Other than the fact that Asus GTX 970's usually perform worse than the other manufacturers it is an excellent build for the price.

can't say for the asus 970s but I have the asus 980's in sli and they run better than alot of the reviews I've seen.... oh and the facts that I run Balls to the wall overclocks on them....

other than that your system looks pretty good to me.
and the I've seen some of the hyperx blue kits reach 2400mhz on 1.65-1.7v in some use cases, but I do recommend making sure you get the latest version of the kit.

EVGA will marginally give you more performance and EVGA's customer service is excellent. For example if you want to reapply the thermal paste in the GPU, you can without the warranty going void.

thats why I brought local and spent the extra $25 to insure if anything breaks my GPU's are fully returnable for a new one or store credit... lasts for the next 3 years 😀

Asus GTX 980's are great, however the GTX 970's fall behind in every aspect.

wow thanks for the links, didn't know about this... may hold off on getting a 970 for my htpc, atm I run a 750(non ti) in my old htpc, but imma start looking for a evga model now.

anyway sorry for taking it off topic, I totally recommend the gtx970 from evga if for no other reason than the fact you can trade in for a small price at a later date.

I've had a 780 from msi... it makes a nice coffee place-mat, first 780 from msi I got was DOA, second took months to get and died just after the warranty ended, nice guy msi offered a 770 but I declined and got my self a 980.
oh and by what I mean they offered me a 770, they had offered me a used "refurbished" 770 if I sent in my 780. now I've framed it and its a nice memory of why I hate amazon returns.

but MSI customer support has been great for me,the build on the cards are solid but evga does do designs that keep the card cooler over the board. like in the most intense moments the msi card would be 3-4degrees cooler but when not really pushing the cards my friends 780 ran at 55-58Degrees C, while when it worked my 780 ran at 62-63 degree's C

MSI Gaming series are excellent in every single GPU reviews/comparison that ive read about.
I would go for EVGA, MSI, Gigabyte or Zotac
