[SOLVED] Would replacing my bios chip fix my bricked motherboard?

I bricked my mother board recently and found that my Asus H110 G11CD-K motherboard has a removable bios chip. I found a seller on eBay selling replacement bios chips for my motherboard with the latest bios programmed in them. Would this fix my bricked motherboard. ( I bricked it by turning it off during a update)

There may be an issue if the chips models do not match , as happened to my asus maximus.
