I'm having some trouble with my current power supply, so I'm considering replacing it. Does anyone know if the Corsair CX550 would be a decent PSU for my system? Or would it be better to get a CX650?

Motherboard: Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
CPU: AMD FX8350
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 960 2GB
RAM: 2 x 4GB DDR3 1333 MHz Kingston
Case fans: 1 x 120mm front // 1 x 120mm rear // 1 x 140mm top // 1 x 120mm top
CPU fan: Corsair H60 Hydro Series 120mm

This will give you a rough estimate as to how much power would be required by your setup:

Just google PSU calculator and you can check a few websites and you can get an idea as to how much Wattage would be required. I bought mine based on those reading too. Although 650W was recommended for me, I went with 550W.
According to some PSU calculators, including the one that you sent, the CX 550 should do Just fine. Thank you for the help.

That's good to know and glad I could help.

Although, if you're planning on upgrading the components soon, like GPU, CPU, etc, then you can consider the 650W too, it will give you more headroom for future upgrades. (y)
