Would the PC run longer if I use nothing but notepad?

Okay so I want to use windows 7 for one thing: just typing stories and stuff on notepad. Will using my computer for this function drastically increase life expectancy of the computer? I mean by not using any internet at all, no games being played, no application being run, and nothing ever installed. It will ONLY use notepad and that's it.

Computers lifespan has nothing really to do with programs being run.
Super intensive processes such as Prime95 could possibly shorten the lifespan with extended use, however not much can do that if anything.

It will last a long time only using that because you already have all of the power to make that software run its best. I see a loooooonger life ahead of that PC.
