Hello,

So I am getting ready to upgrade and I can't figure out if I should get the Pentium 4560. I'm getting the RX 470 to replace my gtx 750ti. My current processor is a a10 7890k (stupid of me to buy) and I was looking at a 4560. Would that be an upgrade and if so is it worth the money. I look to upgrade in a year or 2 as well. Should I save for get a good i5 or i7 in a year or 2 instead of getting the 4560 now? Want to game at 40 to 60fps and at least high settings. Some friends said that the cpu's are about the same or the 7890k was a little more powerful.

Thanks!

Solution
I dunno... the single core performance boost is pretty large but I don't think either are ideal for modern gaming with a higher target fps. I think you're better off waiting for an i5
To evaluate
About 40% performance gains in individual core performance
8% gain in multithreaded performance

from 7890k to G4560

As games become more focused on multiple threads these days, I would still argue the upgrade cost for a new motherboard, RAM, AND processor isn't worthwhile.
