CPU : AMD FX-8300
RAM : 32GB
GPU : AMD HD6450

The linux driver for HD6450 has some issues because driver support is not superb for old graphics cards.

I want a new graphics card that supports linux well and performs reasonably well.

I need smooth performance in window compositor like compton.
I also want some performance in PCSX2 games. Because HD6450 can run tekken 4 at 15~50fps, I guess any modern graphics card would play PCSX2 games smoothly.

The trimmed down version of RX 560 has 896 shaders instead of 1024, but it costs 124USD, including delivery. It would be the last upgrade before I buy a new PC.

Would a trimmed down version of RX 560 satisfy my needs and wants?

Upgrade BIOS version? Can I increase the number of shaders from 896 to 1024 in BIOS?
