[SOLVED] would this be a compatible upgrade for my old PC

looking to buy a GT 1030 to play Valorant, csgo, games like these that dont require crazy specs you know.

It appears your machine has a pcie x16 slot so yes, a gt1030 will work. However, your very old cpu will struggle, even in lighter titles.

Anything modern would not be compatible with your system.

However, you could get a cheap Core 2 Quad which would be alright for lesser demanding titles and better than your current core 2 duo.

After doing some research it seems like a Core 2 Quad Q6600.

Your 3gb total ram will be insufficient aswell. It is getting hard to find DDR2. expecially cheap.

Honestly, I wouldn't upgrade your current system and instead invest in something more modern.
