got a g4560 myself. was recommended to get it on here as i was going to go with an i5 7400 and i must say it's been a great choice as games tend to be more gpu dependent than cpu on the whole. be very wary when buying pre built systems as they tend to cheap out on the motherboard and psu plus the case and charge top whack to the unsuspecting consumer who just sees "core i5 pc"

the new i5s are way more expensive than the pentium g4560. $120 more for the cheapest one.

the new pentiums like the G4560 have hyper threading, 4 virtual cores, and great single thread performance. they are beastly little cpus, and simply cannot be beat for price. not to mention, the socket used allows for upgrade to very powerful cpus if you ever want to.

cpus like the one in the original post can be salvaged out of used pcs that people sell for cheap, so imo not worth it.

lot's of excellent youtube tutorials . you might have to swap that ram in the build posted as i was going to purchase from amazon until i saw the expected delivery times! but you'll find ram for around the same price quite easily.

also if you could afford it i would look at getting an rx 480 instead of the 1050ti .. far better performance and i think they are available for around £40 extra but obviously not everyone can find an extra £40 just like that!

i thought i saw an earlier thread where the OP was considering a £500 budget.. so thought it would be worth mentioning a better gpu... and i wanted that ram you included when i was doing a build! 1-4 months delivery though ,. ouch haha
