I have been trying to find the source of my new intel computer build problem of not being able to post, I tried everything that was suggested to me and in the end we determined my new mobo was DOA. Well I sent that back for a refund and decided to look around for a bit to find another motherboard and in the meantime I decided to take apart my tower components for when I decided on a new mobo.
Soo while removing the psu I had a much closer look at it and noticed that the plastic around some of the pins on the main 24pin harness were broken. I did not notice this before when testing my psu because I was mainly worried about making it boot and did not take a look for damage (my own stupidity) Anyways I was thinking that this may not be the problem because the pins are not actually touching one another but I am not 100% sure. So I purchased a new power supply with a new motherboard.
My new motherboard is: Asus z97 Sabertooth Mark 2
New PSU: XFX 850 Pro black edition
Here is a picture of the harness on my old OCZ 850 ZX psu, do you think this would be an or the issue to my problems?
