Would this be good for gaming with medium settings?

Hi,

I am helping my friend build a computer for gaming/general use. He wants to be able to run games on medium settings, and has a limited budget to work with. Do you think these components will do the trick?

AMD fx6300 3.5/4.1 GHz 6 core processor

MSI 970 ATX motherboard

Kingston Fury Black 8 GB (2 x 4) ddr3-1866

Sapphire Radeon R7 260x 2 GB

Everything looks fine for that, but I'd try to budget an R9 270 or 270x if you want a stable medium setting rig that doesn't drop a lot of frames in more demanding scenarios.
