Hi I am building a computer for the first time and I didnt want any bottlnecking so i was either going to buy an i5 3770k or an amd 6 core cpu(i forget the name). With that being said I wanted to also buy either a evga gtx 680 signature sc or a 660 superclocked. I wanted to know if any of these graphics cards would bottleneck the cpu(vice versa).

Solution
The i5-3570k won't bottleneck either GPUs.

The AMD FX 6350 which is the one I think you're mentioning will probably be best with the GTX 660 than the GTX 680, because it will likely bottleneck in CPU intensive games.

Bottom line:

i5-3570k is the best choice, AMD FX 6350 will do fine if you stay with the GTX 660. :)

The only other thing would be to get the FX-8350 if you think you need the extra cores if you are doing things like rendering videos or other highly threaded applications.

That is if you want to stay in the ~$200 range. If you are willing to go up to $300 and you need the extra threads the i7 would be the best choice in that situation.

Good point.
Another option is to wait for the 700 series rumored to come out very soon. The rumored specs posted in an article here show that the gtx 780 will be quite a beast in comparison to the 770. It probably will cost quite a bit more but the 770 will also kick the 670s butt and that is another option.

Lots of options to choose from. Bottom line is:
If you choose a 670, or 680, you will be happy with its performance.
