Would this cable work for a modem?

I found it and I wanted to move my modem to another room and I wanted to know if this cable works.

If you have a coax input to your modem, then you could use it for input to a cable modem.

Coax, for the most part, is very similar. This doesn't say it is RG6, but it does say double shielded. It should be OK.

So I could use a different coax plug put it in the wall, then connect it to the "in" side of the splitter. then send one of the "out" sides to the TV and one to the modem? Or does the splitter go into the wall via the coax plug?

A splitter would connect on the "IN" side to the wall and the two "OUT" sides to the modem and TV.
