Would this cooler be better than the stock I7 4770 cooler?

As I understand it (have not actually tried it yet) cooler that works for 775 will work for an 1150 socket? If that is so, would this be any better? I ask only because I bought one a couple weeks ago before I decided to just upgrade the whole shooting match.

I do NOT plan to overclock, I bought the locked CPU. Just stick with the stock boxed HSF?

I suggest you just stick with the stock cooler. The Intel stock coolers are quite good and will probably actually perform better than that one.

If you don't plan to overclock it should be fine; I think most just recommend other coolers because they might be quieter, depending on the cooler. The intel cooler is supposed to work fine with normal cpu settings
