Would this mobo handle AMD 6200 X2?

Officially it only suuports up to the X2 6000+. That's not surprising since the 6200+ was recently announced. It should support the 6200+, but you may need to flash the BIOS for the motherboard to correctly identify the CPU. But it should work at the proper speed.

For example, my HTPC has the mobile version of the Athlon XP 2600+ CPU installed in the BioStar mobo. The mobo states "Unrecognized CPU" on boot up, but the CPU works properly.

You can alway e-mail MSI to verify.

Whats the clockspeed on the 6200? I thought 3.0ghz was pushin it but apparently they are able to squeeze one more out of the architecture.

I was young and stupid. And had no intention to OC at the time...
I usually never OC stuff, I sell them and buy newer and stronger.
Don't be mistaken, this is great board per se...only lousy overclocker.
