Would this power supply be better for my build

Looking at this from a price standpoint and for what the machine needs. I don't really plan on overclocking or anything simply because I don't know enough about computers to do it and don't want to risk messing anything up

If you don't ever plan to overclock you could make a few changes and save a lot of money. That's if you haven't order the build already.

No I haven't ordered yet. The most obvious one I know is with the i5 k, but in my other thread where I actually put it together people still recommended that for me. I'm a pretty big novice when it comes to computer building.

What are some recommendations that you would make? This is for a gaming only computer

Here are the changes
cpu - i5 3470
mobo - asrock h77m
psu - corsair cx500
no cpu cooler just use the stock cooler
Those changes will save you about $140 with very little loss in performance.
