Hello,
I wanted to upgrade my processor, I have never upgraded before and it is an "Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2140 @ 1.60 GHz 800 MHz" My motherboard is Foxconn 945G7MD I tried looking it up but Intel's site had no matches for my motherboard I wanted to get an "Intel Pentium Dual Core G6950"
Thank you for any help!

Right off the bat I can tell you it won't work. The E2140 is a LGA775 processor whereas the G6950 is a LGA1156 processor.

Also, you'll only find intel motherboards on the intel website. You'll need to look on the foxconn website for foxconn motherboards. Intel don't just manufacture the intel chipsets, they also sell them to other manufacturers to put int their systems.

Before you change any CPU, upgrade the BIOS to the latest version to ensure compatibility.

Supports Intel® Core™2 Extreme, Core™2 Duo, Pentium® 4PXE, Pentium® 4, Pentium® D, Celeron®

How attached are you to your motherboard? It may be worth doing a quick costing on replacing both and then weighing up the options.
