Would this psu be good enough?

Hey guys, my friends recently built PC continues to crash while in game, and we were wondering if it was because of his power supply? Do you think it would be so? If not can you offer any other answers? His components:
Intel i5 6500
Radeon™ RX 480 G1 Gaming 4G
16 GB patriot signature DDR4 ram
Asus h110m-k mobo
fsp hexa 500w

It very well could be as they are not the best quality psu but it is hard to tell with such little information. A lot could be going wrong such as bad drivers or temps. Does it go to blue screen or just die completely?

The +12V rail on that PSU is a little light for a 500W PSU, but I would not expect it to cause the game to crash. More likely some kind of software conflict. Give CCleaner a run, and do the Clean and Registry portions both. See if anything changes.

"Screen freezes to random colour, loud buzzing noise"

Do all games do this? I've had crashes like that because of corrupt game files and steam or whichever drm program you are using usually has a fix that will verify file integrity and download and replace any corrupt files.
