Hello everyone,
I've recently been looking at a lot of parts in order to assemble my first computer. Right now I have found a deal that includes nearly everything I was looking for and save me quite a bit except for the RAM I initially wanted to put in there. So my question is if this RAM is sufficient for the rest of my setup or if it will not be able to handle everything as smoothly and might hurt the rest of my setup.
The RAM that is included in the deal is a 2400Mhz (16GB). While I initially included a 3000Mhz(16GB) because that seemed to be recommended on the internet. When I started to do some more research I found out that it might not be that important and 2400hmz might suffice, but since most of those posts seemed outdated and I couldnt find many articles and reviews that alligned with eachother (is it a sport to have different opinions on all computerstuff or something?) I decided to ask for my specific situation in hope to find the right answer.
I will be using a 27", 144hz 1440p mainscreen and will in the future also add a smaller screen for extra multitask features such as Netflix, Youtube and other internet/side activities. The main screen will be used mainly for gaming. (As of right now I mainly play games such as League of Legends, World of Warcraft, CS:GO and the like, but since my setup is pretty garbage atm I was never able to play heavier games and might start to in the future if Im actually able to).
My CPU will be Intel Core i7 7700K and my GPU will be Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 8GB.
Since I know very little on computers/hardware and the like please ask for more information if I let something important out.
Thank you for your attention in advance.
