Not ideal, good in it's day, but there are better out there now.

It'd leave you little room for expansion, personally (others disagree) 550-600W in a good quality unit is the sweet spot to ensure you can do any likely single card system in the future.

I'm not a fan of the S12III. I would look elsewhere.

If price is your overriding concern, then the best deal by far that I am aware of is the S12III's older brother, the M12II 520. Its rugged and reliable and currently on sale for $40 after rebate at newegg. That is as good as you could ever hope for at that price level:

If you are want a little more juice in the tank, the Seasonic S12II 620 (not to be confused with the S12III) and Corsair CX 650 are very good budget options at around $70:

HOWEVER, I would consider tossing a few extra pesos at the PSU and picking up something in the $80 to $110 range. There are some truly outstanding units in that price category that are well worth consideration. Here are a few examples:

I would not buy it, but its not the worst out there.

Id buy a corsair cxm if possible.
