Hey, I am thinking of building a pc and i'm wondering what build would be better. I would use it for heavy gaming and video editing

The AMD build since stronger GPU and the CPU will do video editing just as good if not better.

In gaming these 2 CPUs will be about the same. Depending on the title and how many cores it can use, there's a +/- 4% average difference.

But the GPU you paired with the FX 8350 is the GTX 760, and with the i5 it is the 660. In this case the 760 will be faster.

For video, some apps will render faster on the i5. But during h264/x264 encoding the FX 8350 will be a little faster. So it is also pretty even here, depending on what apps you plan to use.

Overall, the complete system you can assemble with the AMD will be slightly better than the i5 thanks to the better GPU you can afford.

Oh I messed up on the intel build it was also supposed to have a 760.

Well in that case I would have gone with the Intel build but Z87 board so you can OC the selected "K" CPU.

and on the intel build drop to the 4670 non k. its pointless getting an unlocked processor without getting an overclocking motherboard

EDIT: get dual channel ram for the amd build too
