Hello, I was wondering is it worth it to upgrade my computer's power supply unit and replace the graphics card with a GTX550 TI.

Oh yeah, and I'm thinking about buying this powersupply unit.

Decent prebuilt as far as prebuilts go. I would not change a thing except the PSU and the Graphics card i linked. Did you have $200 to spend or did you have a more firm budget because i could recommend some different parts if you need.

i was planning to spend at most $500. I could use some reccomendations since im new with these sort of things.

That's a heck of a Graphics card for your system. The next thing you would look at after this is a CPU and motherboard upgrade, but since you didn't have the money int the budget for that right now, this would be a really good upgrade.

For a motherboard/cpu combination i would look an 15-2500k or an i5-3570k and an ASRock Extreme 4 mother board. That's about $350 for the pair though.

i only see One PCI Express x16 (im not sure if its 2.0 or not) but, the Radeon HD 7850 would work with my current motherboard right? since the card is a PCI Express 3.0.

ah, alright thanks. I think ill just upgrade my PSU and my graphics card for now. Thanks for helping me make my decision.

Edit: One final question, would that card fit into my computer? it seems kind of big.
