Thanks in advance!

Would upgrading to a PCIe Gen 3.0 x4, NVMe 1.3, in this case, a Samsung EVO Plus 500 GB speed up my pc? I'm currently using a Samsung EVO 850 250 GB SATA Flash drive. Just looking to speed up this rig as much as possible without having to buy a new PC. And if there is any performance increase, how much? I mainly use my system for writing, playing music, watching movies, and the occasional gaming. I rarely play games, but I do, it's usually Plague Inc.

Here are my specs:

intel Core i5 6500 at 3.6 GHZ
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Motherboard
8GB DDR 4 G.Skill
600 Watt Corsair PSU
Using intel HD Graphics I do have a Geforce GTX 550 Ti. I took it out and am using the CPU's graphics.
Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD SATA Flash Drive

Solution
No, it wont, at least not on a discernible level, maybe 1 second off boot time. the ssd is faster if its below 70% full. If you feel your pc is slow, a reinstall or a deep system clean up will usually speed it up again.
