Would using a air filter for an AC work as a side panel?

My computer isn't getting enough air so I have to use a desk fan to blow air on everything until I can scrounge up 300+ USD to get a new case and PSU. That means I have to take off the side panel, and that means dust! I'm considering getting a thin air filter that's used for an AC to keep the dust out. What're your thoughts?

The case is around 170, the psu is around 200. Anywho I got 2 92mm fans and they don't seem to do the trick, I'm considering just grabbing some Delta fans.

I have a $50 Antec ONE, and a couple of $10 fans that do the trick nicely.

What do you have and what is obstructing the airflow?

Well the computer is an HP Pavilion Elite 580t so the case isn't the best and everything is kind of cramped in there. I have it in a huge open area so I'm not sure to be honest.
