Would you buy a gaming motherboard without a pic express 3.0 slot?

There's a board I want with 2 pci express x16 slots but it only supports 2.0
Now days all good graphics cards are 3.0
3.0 is twice as fast as 2.0 so in just a couple years when video cards get better won't this motherboard be obsolete?

There is not a card that can fill the bandwidth of 2.0
Running a 3.0 card in a 2.0 slot is entirely fine, the board will be ok to run whatever card you want.

To answer your question straight forward, YES i would buy a non PCIE 3.0 motherboard.

Simply put, graphics cards don't even use all the available bandwidth of gen 2.0. Statistics show that using 3.0 instead of 2.0 adds a measly 2fps or less.

It's ok with current video cards but next Gen cards will put the 3.0 slot to use. So those motherboards will not be upgradable soon.
