What do you need the HDD storage for? Do you need a DVD writer?

Buy whatever HDD configuration you want and get a USB DVD drive. I havent had a DVD drive in my computer in over 15 years, but still have the same $20 USB drive and have used it on multiple builds.

Since we are not you and we don't know if you can use storage or a DVD drive, there is no way for others to decide for you. There are plenty of reasons to do one or the other, or any other combination of storage, but they are all based on what YOU want.
