WoW freezes to pure red screen

Lately I have been having problems with World of Warcraft freezing up to a purely red screen. I am thinking this is supposed to be similar to a BSOD because it tries to produce a minidump, but when I look it up in WhoCrashed it's always "Unknown" or "ntoskrnl.exe", and BlueScreenView doesn't even locate it.

I have tried posting dumps here but they are always corrupt when you guys look them up. I have tried other games lately and none of them have BSOD'd or red-screened, the problem seems to only occur when playing WoW.

Can anyone tell me what might be going on? Maybe suggest a fix?

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by doing a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver, open Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to your graphics card.
- Download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers site.
NVIDIA: nvidia.com/download/index.aspx
AMD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
- Once installed reboot your laptop then test it again.
- Do also run Windows Update and install all important updates.
- If all these will not work do uninstall/reinstall WoW as well.

Greetings.

I have the exact same thing happening... I've tried reinstalling drivers, changing old PSU, nothing helped. Also tried sfc /scannow for Windows 10 still the same.
This thing happens once in a month. It happened today when playing WoW, makes me wondering is it a hardware or WoW issue???
I am deciding whether to RMA the GPU or not.
The computer is less than 5 months old and all of its components are properly cooled (monitoring temps all the time).

If anyone has a solution, please !
