I wouldn't say that - customer feedback is customer feedback,
and after having left City of Heroes in the wake of its Issue
3 fiasco in January I'd disagree with the claim that the people
who threaten to leave "always stay". I spelled it out on the
NCsoft web forum, and then I voted with my feet when it was
clear that there wasn't going to be a timely response to the
things that were bugging me.
Now, it *would* be safe to point out that at the time I didn't
anticipate being away for very long - just long enough for
them to roll back the stupid 25+ boss changes that had left
most of the taskforces and trials effectively broken. But
while making the decision to change them back took about
10 days of pointless foot-dragging, implementing the change
took a month, and by that time I had come to the conclusion
that there are a LOT of things about WoW that I like better
than CoH.
The chance I'll go back to CoH now is maybe 25%, and that
action would be DIRECTLY linked to whether I think that
Blizzard is 1) screwing up, and 2) dragging its feet about
fixing the bugs that new content have introduced. I don't
have any particular doubts about #1. #2 is still up in
the air.
We should NOT have to wait for a new round of bugs to be
introduced before the present ones are fixed. It's just
that simple.
