So I got the AS5. I'm old school and just used any old grease before now. Ran TAT full load and saw a max of 67C with ambient temp of 24C on day one. Now 5-6 days later ambient temp once again at 24C and TAT full load showing 62C. I'm floored. It wasn't just marketing hype bullshat. It really did drop 5 degrees after "buring in" for 5-6 days. hmmm

wish I saw that review/benchmark of yours before buying AS5. Great Job by the way! Seems that shin etsu (sp) beat the snot out of AS5 all around by about 4-5 degs in each test.

When I contacted Zalman about replacing the screws on my S9500, they were gracious enough to throw in a sample of their new thermal stuff to see if that helps my overheating problem. I'll report back on my results. If that doesn't bring me down at least 10C I'm going to RMA my processor.
