Wow! Where did Melissa go?

Wow! Where did Melissa go? No messages from here since the 21st? I
wonder if her friend is having trouble doing that major hardware
upgrade? Or maybe Melissa is just too busy flying under her new hardware
that she has no time for us anymore.

Cheers!

I'm still waiting for the new bits of hardware to arrive. Also,
while I do sometimes enjoy a day or evening here and there where I
can sit here and try to catch up with a news group or two, there are
times when I'm just doing other things. :)

Lately, I've been preparing my workshop for the building of another
kayak (this one for a friend), and I've also been spending some time
on the water, which can actually be even more fun than reading news
groups, no matter how nice the information is or how entertaining the
people are! Nothing personal, I hope you understand! :)

You don't have to tell me that. As I'll disappear from here for
sometimes months at a time. Sometimes traveling around the world or
something like that. <grin>

Lately, I've been preparing my workshop for the building of another
kayak (this one for a friend), and I've also been spending some

You build your own kayaks? I was just joking about comparing you to one
of those Amazon women. But now you have me really starting to wonder?

Nothing personal, I hope you understand! :)

Nope, none taken! Just wondering if we should be calling out the Coast
Guard or something. As I heard those whales can get pretty nasty if you
just happen to be in between them and their little ones.

Cheers!

Melissa had a very special Kayak that she posted pictures of. Iain-I

I think Dalli wanted it.

Here are the pictures:

http://photobucket.com/albums/v61/watersprite/Kayak/

The next boat will be the very same model (my friend saw the pictures
and said "I want that!"). I learned so much building the first one,
so this one will be a real pleasure, as I now have lots of ideas to
make the process more efficient, and to further customize certain
other bits.

Boaty building can be almost as addictive as boaty paddling and flight
simming! :)

Yes, I really like the way you built that. I have no idea how to kayak
but I can like the looks of a nice boat.

Hey! you're not allowed to actually have a life outside of this

If everybody did that, well... we'd have no newsgroup.

Careful you might break something you don't understand, then you'll have to get the wife/girlfriend to fix it. That
could cost you mowing the lawn, dinner and a new dress (preferably for her) at the least.

Mow the lawn? I understand the words but fail to grasp the concept.

Mowing the lawn is a concept I have to learn. The township I live in
has passed an ordinance that grass can't be longer than six inches. Now
I have to worry about the lawn police on my back as well:))

It's easy. Find a German Wife who thought a microwave was magic when
the popcorn bag swelled up and buy her a riding mower. She loves
driving that thing. I'm not kidding, we've had the mower for 3 years
now and I've not once driven it. :)

That's because you never bothered to play with those hanging bits of cloth that properly block the sunlight from shining
