It's shrinking at a pretty good clip right now. Down about 1/3 from the
peak.

Doesn't look like it will ever end though. People just keep crowding
onto the popular shards and making the marginal ones ghost towns.

And besides, even with the lousy customer service, and the fun-busting
changes being made, it's still the best game out if you like variety in your
game. No other game out there let's you do so many things, so many ways.

This game will go on for years until something new comes along with most of
what UO has. Then it might have to remove some of the screwy changes like
AoS and the whiner-inspired changes to keep it's customer's. Until then it
has little to worry about.

Remove features? Never. They will just look at China and start
salivating. Expect "UO:We're Whores to the China Market Edition" to come
out fairly soon. Then it will be "UO:GTA - Chariots of Doom". Finally
they will release "UO:The Sims - Medieval Times Edition".

Already happened - haven't you heard LB speak in the series games?

Was the Harry Potter actor American?

I've got some "rare" horse droppings already.

In various games under various guises!

I did play UO again a little on IPY the player ran shard but I guess the
memory of the old times is always better than the reality.

I read that the subsriber base had dropped from 250k to 150k but you never
know if these stories are true. I still read Battelvortex so keep a bit
uptoate on the happenings in Brittania, ninjas though, makes you want to cry
:<

I fully expect them to give you the last sever Rick for your continued
support and love of the game no matter what they throw at ya!

Actually the numbers were back calculated from a stock holders report.
Statement was something like ~revenues from subscriptions are down
X<dollars or percent>~ and people ran with it.

I do love this game. Since my S.O. is currently playing 8-10 hours a day
with no end in sight it looks like I will have continued involvement.

I've looked at other games and they don't quite do it for me, they all
have some fatal flaw for me. OSI tries hard to get me P.O.ed enough to
quit with some of their bonehead changes, but then they do just enough
stuff right to keep me sending in that $26/month for me and mine.

I know my main account is out to 85 months and I think my 2nd account is
around 60ish. Figure for the ~$2,000 I have sent them over the years I
could buy a server.
