what is the opinion about what minimum amd card to use for casual gaming on the 27" wqhd monitor (asus pb278q) I will probable never get into heavy gaming. thanks

R9 290 or 290X are great cards at that resolution and cheaper than the opposition. I plan on getting that same monitor for my 290X

guess I should have specified-- mostly crisis , bioshock, heavy in train sim and flight sim . I am older and I usually do not play the really current games-yet I now have a 27" 1080 monitor and can run all games so far at max with my hd 7850. hope this helps
