Write batch files to temporarily change Resulution.

I want a batch file to run a program and change my computers resolution to 800 x 600. Then upon exiting the application it goes back to 1920 x 1080. I had one but I lost it.
I will use the batch file as my shortcut to run a game. Once clicked it will change my resolution to 800 x 600. Then once the game is removed from active tasks the resolution will go back to normal.

You don't need a batch file. Most games will accept the resolution as a custom parameter added to the shortcut, which game is it?

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is the name of the game. I don't remember the game I had this batch file for, I did however create this batch file with the help of some friends. It was deleted or lost, I just didn't want to have to spend hours trying to figure out how I created it. It only had 4-8 lines it. and it wasn't very complex.

Widescreen Gaming Forum has guides for making most games run at whatever resolution you need. I'd give that a try and see how it goes.

Why can't you just set the resolution to 800x600 in the game's graphics options? When you run the game, it will display at that resolution, and then when you exit the game it will revert to your normal desktop resolution, i.e. 1080p.
