Is what a virus? I assume you have a flash drive of some sort that is write protected and you can't modify its contents. Is that correct?

If so, look at the device itself. Depending on the model, many USB drives have a small switch on them that enables/disables write protection. If there is no physical switch, you should check the drive's manufacturer website to see if there is a utility available to disable write protection.

BTW, probably not a virus.
